What does CR mean in a battery name?
CR marks a 3V lithium button cell; the digits are diameter and height in millimetres (CR2032 = 20 × 3.2 mm).
Are CR cells rechargeable?
No — the CR series is primary lithium. Replace, do not recharge.
What is UN38.3, and why does it matter?
The UN transport test for lithium batteries. Carriers and forwarders require it before accepting the shipment — we issue it per order.
Can a CR2032 replace a CR2025?
Only if the slot fits — the 0.7 mm thickness difference can cause poor contact.
What is the shelf life of a CR battery?
Typically 5 years when stored cool and dry in original packaging.
